Buckinghamshireshire Building Society
Since 1907 the Buckinghamshireshire Building Society has had its head office in Chalfont St. Giles, Buckinghamshireshire. They have well over 13,000 members and the society is a mutual society. This means there are no shareholders and all the profits go to benefitting their members.
The Buckinghamshireshire Building Society has a choice of mortgages on offer and include ‘joint equity plans’ which include an investor taking a 25-50% interest in your property, these are not like the Government part ownership, low cost or key worker plans but do permit you to purchase your own property at a cost which you can afford.
The Buckinghamshireshire Building Society has the following types of mortgages available:
- Standard Variable Rate mortgage is a mortgage which the amount of interest you repay may change in line with the Bank of England and the Buckinghamshireshire Building Society’s own rate. They can increase or decrease.
- Three Year Discounted Mortgage is a mortgage which provides a guaranteed discount on the Standard Variable Rate for a period of three years after which it goes back to the Standard Variable Rate for the remaining period of the loan.
- Two or Three Year Fixed Rate Mortgages are loans which are obtainable with 65% to 75% Loan to Value ( LTV). The amount of interest rate paid by you will be dependent on the amount of deposit you make along with the extent of the fixed period. Therefore if you make a 45% deposit and choose a two year fixed rate mortgage then the interest will be less than if you had made a 35% deposit and chosen a three year fixed rate term.
