Harpenden Building Society
Harpenden Building Society was launched in early March 1953 and named after Harpenden a residential town located in north Hertfordshire. A band of Harpenden locals formed the society with a view to aid people with the capability to borrow money in order to buy homes of their own. The first branch was set up in Radlett in 1981 and another in 1992 in the town of Leighton Buzzard. There are now six branches plus three agencies of the Harpenden Building Society.
Harpenden Building Society supply mortgages for first time buyers as well as for clients who already have a mortgage but want to change their current lender. They cater for those wanting to remortgage, buy to let, let to buy, property development and refurbishment, bridging loans, secondary or holiday homes, unique homes and commercial or semi-commercial mortgages.
